The people of Vunaspef Village are the custom landowners of Millennium Cave. They run the the Tour Office in Luganville and your tour guides belong to this community. Discovering the Cave

The existence of the Cave has been known for many, many years. Ancestors of the present community used the entrance to the cave as a food source. The large numbers of bats and swallows that resided there were a great source of ‘kai kai’.

The women of the village make these beautiful lava lavas which are great souvenirs. They cost 1000 vatu each and proceeds go towards school fees.
